High technology products, designed specifically for the food
industry, for purifying water, food produce and related
equipment:
Control waterborne microbes (bacteria, viruses, protozoa,
etc) including common pathogens such as E Coli,
Salmonella, Giardia, Cryptosporidium and Pythium.
Also control microbes on surfaces of equipment and food
stuffs by spraying ozonated water or dipping produce in
ozonated water.
Retard growth of fungi, moulds and algae.
Remove odours from water and other liquids.
Remove off-tastes from products such as wine barrels and
corks.
Remove colours from water.
Oxidise chemicals including phenols, manganese, COD.
Ozone really is the ideal disinfectant for the food industry. It
is 50% stronger than chlorine and kills cellular microbes 3,000
times faster. Yet it leaves no chemical residue and is generally
harmless to foods. It requires no consumables as it is
generated on-site electrically.
Ozone was approved by the USA FDA for use in the food
industry in 1997 and for bottled water in 1982. It is approved as
a food processing aid in Australia, Japan, the EEC and the USA.
It is used by over 3,000 municipal water authorities, worldwide.
Ozone is made from life-giving oxygen. The oxygen is passed
through a plasma field where ozone is created. It is then
dissolved in water. It kills microbes by a process of oxidation.
It then converts back into oxygen and leaves no chemical
residue whatsoever.
Our Ozone Water Purifiers are Fully Integrated Systems, as
preferred by the Food Industry. We are one of very few
companies in the world with this approach - we take the "hassle" out of your plant. A large number of components
are carefully designed, balanced, pre-connected (electrics,
pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics) and combined into one
single chamber - either fixed or mobile.
Ozone uses only quality corona discharge technologies. We
never use UV methods as they are unreliable and only treat a
narrow range of pollutants. Compared to chemicals, ozone
is a stronger microbe killer, is cheaper, requires no hazardous
consumables, and leaves no residue. Join the ozone revolution
and protect your food investment.
Water Purifier Systems - WS8,
WM8
These models take the "hassle" and complexity out of your
Water Purifier decision - all systems are complete and integrated
units. Each unit includes the following parts inside one chamber:
Model WS8 is rich with great features, whilst model WM8 is
the mobile equivalent. Both models feature:
Plasma ozone source to generate high outputs (up to 20
g/hour) at high concentrations (up to 4% by weight).
Built-in oxygenator with molecular sieve, rotary air
compressor, water trap and sight glass.
Unique air cooled and cleanable emitters, with a high flow
rate cooling fan and large pre-filter.
Control switches, fuses, voltage meter, gas flow gauge,
safety microswitches, gas valve, water valves, rheostat.
Polymer coated,
zinc treated case,
with access doors
and integrated
venturi kit, water
pump and pipe
fittings.
A popular application for the WM8 is shown above. Mains
hose water is fed into the product, ozonated and then used as
washdown water (by attaching the KN15 Spray Nozzle
accessory). This is ideal for sanitising surfaces, tables, walls,
machines, barrels, tanks, hoses, etc. This replaces hot water,
pressurised water or chemicals. Ozonated water will sanitise
when cold and at only 25 psi. This means that surfaces are
not damaged and aerosols are not formed. Hot water or
chemical costs are avoided.
Another popular application is shown in the second diagram.
Here, feedwater is being disinfected before flowing to a
process (such as food manufacturing). The WS8 ozonates
water around a small recirculation loop connected to a Contact
Tank. The process
water is resident in
this Contact Tank for
a few minutes for
suitable treatment.
(For tanks in closed
buildings "ozone in
air destructors" are
available to remove
vented ozone -
accessories EZ61
and EZ62).
Smaller Systems WS2-1500
Model WS2 is a small version of the WS8 and, therefore, is
also a complete integrated system. It is ideal for low water
flow rates, such as pumping ozonated water through food
hoses and pipes to clean and sanitise them, or for recirculation
loops around small tanks.
It includes extensive features:
Ozone generator (usually set at a design rate of 2 g/hour
output).
Dryer Chamber and pleated filter cartridge.
Venturi Kit with viewing window.
Control switches, fuses, gas flow gauge, water valves,
check valves, switch adjustable ozone output and
electronic cyclical timer.
Water pump and Hartford Loop.
All components are packed into a
single compact chamber with
polymer coating, hinged access
doors and easily operated controls.
Tank Systems for Farmers WP2-1500
The WP2 is perfect for rain water tanks or other water tanks
on farms. Just drop the porous diffuser into the tank, position
the ozone supply tube and connect electricity.
The WP2 includes extensive features:
Ozone generator with plasma emitters (usually set at a
design rate of 1 g/hour output).
Large particulate pleated air filter, cleanable.
Dryer chamber with rechargeable dessicant media.
Air compressor which pumps the ozone through the 6mm
delivery tube, where it "bubbles" out of the porous diffuser
and into the water.
Control switches, fuses, gas flow gauge, switch, adjustable
ozone output, cooling fan, electronic cyclical timer.
Polymer coated case with hinged doors and carry handle.
Whilst rain water is great for
drinking and for stock
feedwater, it can become
polluted by microbes, algae,
metal ions, off-tastes, odours,
etc. The WP2 is designed to
treat all these pollutants.
Larger Systems - WS9-50,
WS9-100
Model WS9 is, of course, a bigger version of the WS8 for outputs
up to 100 g/hour and concentrations up to 14% by weight:
The WS9 is fully integrated, with all modules squeezed
into one case - oxygenator, venturi kit, water pump, all
connections, etc.
The electronics are very sophisticated with a touch pad
control with PCB logic and LCD display. This allows
automatic programming and feedback signals from
Controllers.
Internal sensors provide performance monitoring and a
digital "self help menu" makes maintenance simple.
Controllers
A large range of Controllers
is available for measuring
ozone concentrations in the
gas phase or liquid phase.
Manual "wet chemistry" sets
(EW1) and simple air test
strips (EZ1) are available.
Oztec Service
Ozone provides extensive documentation to assist customers
and Distributors. Customers can fill out a "Fact Finder"
document to help size up the job. Ozone can then generate a
Sizing Report by reference to Oztec - a computer database
which records our extensive experience and research with food
industry water treatment. We can also generate Component
Lists and Layout Drawings. The products themselves include
extensive Instruction Manuals.
