High technology products, designed specifically for purifying
water in cooling towers, warm water systems and evaporative
coolers. Ozone Water Purifiers can:
Kill Legionella bacteria.
Kill other bacteria, viruses and protozoa.
Also kill microbes which live on surfaces of the equipment,
such as pseudomonas fluorescens, which produce biofilm.
Remove bioslime and scale from equipment surfaces.
This improves heat transfer and increases efficiency and
reduces power consumption.
Eliminate odours from the system.
Retard fungi, moulds and algae.
Reduce corrosion, compared to traditional chemicals.
Reduce running costs, as the only on-going cost is
electricity - there are no consumables.
Result in less frequent maintenance and quicker
maintenance turnaround, due to less biofilm buildup.
Result in less bleed-off water dumping, as recirculation
rates can be increased.
Reduce concentrations of mineral salts and organic load
in the water, and reduce scale on surfaces.
Extend the life of components.
Avoid the need to handle
hazardous chemicals, as
ozone is made on-site.
Avoid the risk of chemical
dosing vats being left
unattended and running dry.
Ozone really is the ideal disinfectant for cooling towers. It
is 50% stronger and 3,000 times faster at killing bacteria,
compared to chlorine. Yet it requires no consumables as it is
generated on-site, electrically. It leaves no long term chemical
residue. Ozone is made from life-giving oxygen. The oxygen
is passed through a plasma field where ozone is created. It is
then dissolved in water. It kills microbes by a process of
protein restructuring and removes other pollutants by
oxidation.
Ozone treatment of Cooling Towers is now supported by
many international organisations, including:
- Department of Energy, USA.
- EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute).
- CTI (Cooling Tower Institute).
There are now thousands of ozone cooling tower sites
throughout the world supported by legionella legislation in
most countries.
Our Cooling Tower Water Purifiers are Fully Integrated
Systems. We are one of very few companies in the world
with this approach - we take the "hassle" out of your plant.
All components are carefully designed, balanced, preconnected
(electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics) and
combined into one single
chamber.
Ozone is fast becoming the
preferred method of cooling
tower treatment around the
world. Join the ozone revolution
- control bacteria - and protect
your cooling tower investment.
Water Purifier Systems - WS8, WM8
Ozone takes the "hassle" and complexity out of your Water
Purifier decision - all systems are complete and integrated units.
Each unit includes the following parts inside one chamber:
Model WS8 is rich with great features, whilst model WM8 is
the mobile equivalent. Both models feature:
Plasma ozone source to generate high outputs (up to 20 g/
hour) at high concentrations (up to 4% by weight).
Built-in oxygenator with molecular sieve, rotary air
compressor, water trap and sight glass.
Unique air cooled and cleanable emitters, with a high flow
rate cooling fan and large pre-filter.
Control switches, fuses, voltage meter, gas flow gauge,
safety microswitches, gas valve, water valves.
Polymer coated,
zinc treated case,
with access doors
and integrated
venturi kit, water
pump and pipe
fittings.
A number of variables must be analysed to configure a quality
"ozone water purification system" to suit your particular
cooling tower. However, a general conceptual configuration
is shown above. A small recirculation pipe loop is installed
around the basin, entering and exiting the basin at opposite
sides. This is connected to the WS8 venturi and water pump.
High ozone concentrations are injected into the water each
time it recirculates around the basin.
In most correctly designed systems no corrosion inhibitor is
required and corrosion rates are significantly less than occur
with traditional chemical disinfectants. (In a minority of cases
a proprietary corrosion inhibitor is added).
Larger Systems - WS9-50,
WS9-100
Model WS9 is, of course, a bigger version of the WS8, for
outputs up to 100 g/hour and concentrations up to 14% by weight:
The WS9 is fully integrated, with all modules squeezed
into one case - oxygenator, venturi kit, water pump, all
connections, etc.
The electronics are very
sophisticated with a touch pad
control, PCB logic and LCD
display. This allows automatic
programming and feedback
signals from Controllers.
Internal sensors provide
performance monitoring and a
digital "self help menu" makes
maintenance simple.
Smaller Systems WS2-1500
Model WS2 is a smaller version of the WS8 and, therefore,
is also a complete integrated system. It is ideal for small
packaged cooling towers with lower water flow rates.
It includes extensive features:
Ozone generator with plasma emitters (usually set at a
design rate of 2 g/hour output).
Dryer Chamber and pleated filter cartridge.
Water pump and Hartford Loop.
Venturi Kit with viewing window.
Control switches, fuses, gas flow gauge, water valves,
check valves, switch, adjustable ozone output and
electronic cyclical timer.
All components are
packed into a single
compact chamber, with
polymer coating, hinged
access doors and easily
operated controls.
Evaporative Cooler Purification WE1
An Evaporative Cooler is effectively a "reverse cooling
tower" as it uses water to cool air. Although water
temperatures are a few degrees lower, Legionella can survive
at temperatures down to -80°C and it multiplies actively at
20°C. In addition, Evaporative Coolers build up bioslime,
odours and salts. The WE1 can control all these problems.
The WE1 is a compact device which is mounted inside the
cooler and its porous diffuser ball is simply dropped into the
cooler basin. The WE1 generates a patented mixture of
proprietary oxidants which kill microbes, control salts
buildup, improve general hygiene and can reduce water
consumption dramatically.
The WE1 comprises patented plasma emitters, a compressor,
air filters, plasma source, electronic timer, signal light and
much more, packed into a micro, cost-effective unit.
Controllers
A large range of Controllers
is available for measuring
ozone concentrations in the
gas phase or liquid phase.
Manual "wet chemistry" sets
are available for cost effective
measurements whilst
sophisticated electronics
control the whole system.
Oztec Service
Ozone provides extensive documentation to assist customers
(and Distributors). Customers can fill out a "Fact Finder"
document to help size up the job. Ozone can then generate a
Sizing Report by reference to Oztec - a computer database
which records our extensive experience and research with
cooling tower water treatment. We can also generate
Component Lists and Layout Drawings as required. The
products themselves include extensive Instruction Manuals.
